doing ok so far...
I made it through another treatment today and was able to keep all my food down. I actually haven't had too many side effects yet. A little fatigue and occasional nausea. I had a home health nurse come out today to check up on me...for all you LB memorialers it was our old buddy Marilyn (an old RN I used to work with in the hospital). She went over more of the side effects of chemo and was checking up on my drug regimen. She was saying as the chemo cycles progress the side effects tend to increase also.
I always wondered if my drinking and hangovers served a purpose in my life and I guess it will be training for what is to come...:) I know you guys are laughing...
I don't wanna repeat myself but the comments are great...it really helps me. My mom loves reading it too. The encouragement from you guys in unreal..

Hi Scott.......We are friends of your mom and dad. I grew up with Vicki, Donna and Joanie. We have watched you and Eric grow up through your family Christmas cards. We are so sorry that you have to go through this ordeal. But, like I told your mom, it is only a temporary setback.....with your positive attitude, many friends and loving family, you will come through this much stronger and ready to live life to the fullest! Glad to hear that your second day wasn't too bad either. It's good that so far your body is reacting well to the medications too. Hmm...maybe for your nausea you could try eating some ginger foods. They say it helps....at least it helps women that are pregnant and are experiencing morning sickness :) Anyways....hope everything goes well tomorrow too!

Scotty, I must say you are one of the most amazing guys I have ever known. Very few people would be able to keep such a positive attitude and sense of humor while dealing with cancer and you are an inspiration to many. I miss hanging out w/you at lunch everyday...the joint just aint the same w/o you. Hang in there buddy, you're going to beat this!

my mom too is going through chemo after a successful lumpectomy in june. shes doing well and treatments are progressing. she actually benefited from accupuncture before her last chemo session.
its definitely great that you got this blog going and even better to read that your attitude is thoroughly positive!!
